Manufacturing group photograph
Today’s industrial shoot is going to be a challenging one. I am going to be photographing about 75 people under a banner celebrating their earning ISO 9000 classification. We’ll pose everyone in the walkway between machines, throw a lot of light at them and get a great image of everyone showing off their accomplishment. Some of the challenges… it’s very dark in the room so getting good even lighting under fluorescents will be a high priority. There will be 75 employees in the final image, which is a lot of faces to get into a small area. It should be a fun challenge.
High Resolution Scans
We’re currently working on scanning medium and large format transparencies. The images were created back in the 80’s in and manufacturing facility and miraculously have survived in pretty good condition. It is impressive how much work went into creating a good image under poor lighting conditions back then. The final scans will be used for prints up to 20×20, making each file about 250 mb.
Portraits
Today has been family portrait day. I photographed several families a few months ago and I am digitally editing the final enlargements. Using the powers of photoshop, I can manipulate highlights, shadows, and almost anything else that needs to be altered. Its very cool to see the before and after once I’m finished with all the changes.
Healthcare Shoot
I just finished shooting and editing a healthcare photography shoot at our local health care provider. 13 surgeons posed around the new addition at the surgery center. The images turned out very nice. I’ll post one after the ads have been printed.
